All the fruits from the market
Fat Pork (Not one of my favs. It's small with a large pit and isn't very sweet)
Awara (Also not one of my favs. You slice off a small piece, chew it for the juice and tastes, and then spit it out. It can be used to make oil, and the pit used to be used as marbles for playing)
Sugar Apple (Really yummy!)
Golden Apple
Guava
Sour Sop (Sour, so you can't eat too much of it in one sitting. But still yummy!)
Grandilla (I didn't actually get a chance to try it...)
Ripe Mango (Obv, delish)
Green Mango (Can be used to make achar and curries, and can also be eaten sliced with salt and pepper)
Oranges (Not large and orange like ours, but still good.)
Watermelon (Not the ridiculously large size you find at home)
Sapodilla (Very sweet and yummy!)
Enjoy.....your Grandma was a fruit vendor at New Amsterdam market...so we had the best of all. Fresh, ripe, delicious and very healthy. Brings back so-o-o-o-o many great memories}: {: }: {: }: }:
