A little scary at first, but now I really like it!

Uncle Bully's
While I've been staying at my aunts, my uncle (one of Dad's cousins) has been chauffeuring me around town on his motorcycle. I've been taking the bus to him, and then he takes me to and from my meetings. Here are some photos from his place in Georgetown. I need to get a photo of him and his son!
St. John Bosco Orphanage
The St. John Bosco orphanage for boys in Plaisance, Guyana is home to more than forty boys ages four to sixteen and is run by the Sisters of Mercy. Grandma Winnie used to teach at their school, so we went for a visit to meet with the sisters and the boys. They were very sweet and eager to impress, whether it be by answering questions, reading, singing, dancing, or doing handstands. Here are a few photos from our visit.
Meg is a volunteer from Ohio, and the first American I've spoke to in almost 4 weeks!
Gangnam style is everywhere!
Fruits of Guyana
Here are some of the different types of fruits I've tried here in Guyana. Most are pretty yummy!
All the fruits from the market
Fat Pork (Not one of my favs. It's small with a large pit and isn't very sweet)
Awara (Also not one of my favs. You slice off a small piece, chew it for the juice and tastes, and then spit it out. It can be used to make oil, and the pit used to be used as marbles for playing)
Sugar Apple (Really yummy!)
Golden Apple
Guava
Sour Sop (Sour, so you can't eat too much of it in one sitting. But still yummy!)
Grandilla (I didn't actually get a chance to try it...)
Ripe Mango (Obv, delish)
Green Mango (Can be used to make achar and curries, and can also be eaten sliced with salt and pepper)
Oranges (Not large and orange like ours, but still good.)
Watermelon (Not the ridiculously large size you find at home)
Sapodilla (Very sweet and yummy!)
